Drought Management Plan

Council's Drought Management Plan provides various statutory and water management strategies. It outlines delivery and quality conditions, defines contingency plans and restrictions for drought situations, and helps meet legislative standards.

Drinking Water Quality Management Plan (DWQMP) Annual Report 

This report documents the performance of Longreach Regional Council’s drinking water service with respect to water quality and performance in implementing the actions detailed in the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan (DWQMP) as required under the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008 (the Act).

The report assists the Regulator to determine whether the approved DWQMP and any approval conditions have been complied with and provides a mechanism for providers to report publicly on their performance in managing drinking water quality.

Annual SWIM - KPI Reports

Longreach Regional Council is required by the Water Supply Regulator to submit annual data for water and sewerage key performance indicators for each financial year. 

2023 - 24 KPI Report

Results of the performance reports are reported through the Statewide Water Information Management (SWIM) database and the KPI data includes:

  • Number and capacity of treatment plants
  • Number of connected properties, storage capacity and network size
  • Volumes of water and sewerage treated
  • Costs and revenues of the water utility
  • Customer service records
  • Billing information to compare across service provider
