34th Meagan Walker Mini Marathon - Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

The Annual Meagan Walker Mini Marathon is back again for the 34th time in 2024, raising money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis support. All proceeds raised will go to Cystic Fibrosis Queensland, so that they can continue to offer vital support services to families, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure one day soon! Important details: - Meet at the Longreach Railway Station to pay your registration from 6:30am (Adults - $10, Family - $25, Kids - Gold Coin Donation). - It is then an 11-km walk, jog, run, ride, skate, scoot, cycle, skip (and any other verbs you can think of!) to 'Longway Station' on the Cramsie-Muttaburra Road. If this is your first year, just follow the crowd! - On arrival at Longway, there will be a BBQ Breakfast and raffle tickets available to buy for a small fee. - There will be a lucky prize draw for all registered participants. We are always overwhelmed by the amount of support we receive each year. If you would like to donate an item or voucher for our lucky prize draw, we would be extremely grateful. We would like to encourage any individuals wishing to donate to purchase from local businesses to keep the money going around in our community. - You are welcome to leave a car at Longway (house or driveway) the day prior of returning to town. - Leashed and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
