In the face of life’s challenges, particularly for those in regional and agricultural communities, mental fitness is key. The Regional Brain Reset Tour (RBRT) workshop, led by Allan Parker OAM, a world-renowned micro-behavioural neuroscientist, focuses on enhancing mental well-being. Allan has worked with the likes of the United Nations, Cattle Australia, and other major agricultural organisations to facilitate negotiations that shift mindsets towards agreement and collaboration. As a pioneer in brain health, his best-selling book Switch on Your Brain, published in 1986, set the foundation for his ongoing work with the RBRT. Over the past decade, regional Australia has faced extraordinary challenges: droughts, fires, floods, plagues, and the direct impacts of climate change. These stressors have led to a significant rise in cortisol levels, and the mental strain in regional communities has surpassed even that of the corporate world, especially since COVID-19. Allan’s mission with the RBRT is to equip people living in regional communities with the tools and insights to combat these stressors with a Calming Brain Reset. By Resetting your brain, you’re not just improving your mental well-being; you’re enhancing your emotional and physical health too. The RBRT focuses on the essential elements of maintaining a healthy brain, guiding you to live longer, happier, and more resilient lives. Imagine a life free from overwhelm, stress, anxiety, and depression and increase peaceful sleep. It’s a possibility that’s waiting. What you will learn: * Learn how to maintain composure and be more resilient when there are bumps and holes in the road of life. * How to reset your brain to have clearer thoughts, less stress and quiet the internal chatter. * How to have calming conversations rather than reactive debates and the language skills behind this, to produce a healthier brain with a better understanding and relationship with others. * Managing pressure and tension and how to talk about pressure and lower it with five techniques for handling tension and emerging calmer on the other side. * How to become mentally fitter, sharper, and calmer. * Learn how to listen to the brain and body you live in. * Learn what you can do now to live longer with an intact and healthy brain. * The facts and myths of brain food and exercise. Book your ticket now! Allan will be in Longreach on Friday 11th of October at the Longreach Civic and Cultural Centre, 96A Eagle Street, Longreach. The workshop starts at 10am to 4pm.
