Held at the Oma Waterhole in Isisford, Queensland, Australia, this three-day extravaganza brings together fishing enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just starting out, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase your fishing skills and enjoy a relaxing weekend outdoors. Competition is to catch the longest legal-sized Yellowbelly, Catfish or Black Bream. Activities: Friday (July 26): 1:30 PM: Meet & Greet at Control Point, Bar, Sausage Sizzle & Raffles, plus footy on the big screen. Food vans available throughout the weekend. Saturday (July 27): 8:00 AM: Registration for the competition. 10:00 AM: Fishing competition starts (marked by a police siren). 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Novelty events, including the Carole Reynolds Damper Competition. 6:00 PM: Measuring closes for the day, followed by entertainment, auctions, and music with a bar until 11:45 PM. Sunday (July 28): 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Nominations only. 11:00 AM: Fishing closes (no more fish to be brought up for registration). 11:30 AM: Team photos and individual teams. 12:00 PM: Presentation of prizes and random draws. Nominations: You can nominate once in either the adult or junior section. Adult & junior nominations receive a free bucket (while stocks last). Adult Major Draw: $2500.00 cash Junior Major Draw: $300.00 cash Adult & Junior Random Draws: You don’t even have to catch a fish to win these prizes—just be nominated!
